A couple of updates since the club-governing branch of Student Affairs has finally met and let us know what is happening:
- Club membership will officially end 9/30/24. After this point, if you haven't been grandfathered in (which may happen to some of you), you will need to re-sign up on CampusGroups for the club. There will be a required fee to pay to rejoin which currently stands at $15 per person. I understand that it may be a lot to ask but I hope you will still consider re-joining the club -- we have a lot of fun things planned for this year, including monthly challenges (that may have prizes attached to them), interesting new ways to look at functional medicine and nutrition, and getting some neat club merchandise out so people know we exist.
- The logo deadline has been pushed back to 10/31/24. This is occurring due to the membership changes taking place at the end of September. There is also a small correction in the requirements for the logo (I underlined the change). I have included the updated requirements below:
-
We invite you to send in a decal (created or commissioned by you) that captures the spirit of functional medicine and nutrition. The only requirements for this logo are as follows:
- Has to feature something related to Noorda (gnome, the N, mountains in the background, orange color, etc.)
- Must state the full name of the interest group: Functional Medicine and Nutrition Interest Group
- Feature something related to functional med and/or nutrition (doctor band/stethoscope, food (?), etc.)
-
- Come see us at club fair! It will be held on October 3rd, 1-3pm, in the Noorda-COM ballroom(s). We'll hopefully have some cool stuff on display, including some cookbooks, and some stickers. If you have a cookbook, nonfiction book, or other neato thing that represents functional medicine and/or nutrition AND would like to loan it to us to spruce up the booth, please let me know by replying to this email or sending the offer to do27.jmstuter@noordacom.org . We would appreciate any assistance you are willing to offer.
- Finally, social media. If we start up an IG account (if there isn't already one created), would you be interested in engaging with it? Let myself or VP Garret Phillips know and we can see about getting that up and running. We may also work within the CampusGroups built in website if that is more preferred.
Sincerely,
FMNIG President -- Jayne Stuter
