Details
This event will focus on interprofessional roles and responsibilities through collaboration among students from a variety of healthcare programs. Participants will engage in interprofessional discussion and simulation-based learning centered on real-world healthcare and community issues.
The event will include guest speakers discussing opioid/benzodiazepine abuse and overdose, domestic abuse, human trafficking, and suicide prevention. Each speaker represents a local Utah organization specializing in community services related to these topics. Presentations may include Utah and national statistics, signs and symptoms of abuse, risk factors, and how to intervene.
Participants will also take part in a discussion panel and a mock simulation using standardized patients based on the information presented.

This event will be offered during multiple time slots. Each session will be identical, so please register for the time that works best for you and has your program’s registration option available.
