Medical Students for Choice and the Family Medicine Interest Group are co-hosting a Harm Reduction and Naloxone training event. Participants will learn how and when to administer Naloxone in emergency situations and will receive a free Naloxone rescue kit at the end of the session.

Our guest speaker, MacKenzie Bray, is the Executive Director of Salt Lake Harm Reduction Project. She holds a Master of Public Health and is currently a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She has over a decade of experience in harm reduction, and HIV and viral hepatitis prevention. Following her brother’s passing from an unintentional overdose, in 2017 MacKenzie opened the first fixed-site, legal syringe exchange in Utah. She has a passion for community-based participatory research and empowering the voices of people with lived experience to be centered in the conversations of change.

Lunch will be provided.
