Come learn about trauma-informed care for survivors of domestic violence (DV) and sexual assault (SA).

Join us for an educational session featuring The Refuge Utah, who will discuss trauma-informed care and how we can better understand and support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We’ll also learn about SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) exams, presented by a SANE nurse who will provide insight into the role of SANEs and the care they provide to patients following sexual assault.

This is a great opportunity for students interested in all specialties! Every patient has their own unique history and experiences, and some may have a history of trauma. Learning how to recognize trauma, respond with compassion, and provide patient-centered care is an important skill for every healthcare professional.

Come learn, ask questions, and gain valuable insight into providing compassionate, trauma-informed care.
