We hope you had a restful and fun summer. A warm welcome to all the new members from COM 29 — we’re excited to have you with us! And a big congratulations to COM 27 for passing boards and moving on to clinicals — what a huge accomplishment!
Upcoming Events:
As we dive into the new year, we’ve got some great events planned. First up is a group hike to Stewart Falls on October 11th — a perfect way to enjoy the fall colors and get to know each other. We are also having monthly service opportunities of trail clean ups along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail between the Y and Slate Canyon. We’re also teaming up with EMIG to host a splinting clinic in November. Be sure to check out Campus Groups for full event details and to RSVP.
Newsletters:
Every 1-2 months, we will release a newsletter with cool pictures, information on stuff we as a club or you as individual members did, a blurb on wilderness med, and opportunities for the future. We've included the September Newsletter below as an example for your enjoyment. If you want to contribute material for the newsletter, please email Alysia, WMIG's secretary.
We’d love to hear from you! If you have ideas for future events or contacts who’d be great speakers, don’t hesitate to reach out to any of the officers.
Here’s to a great year ahead!

Club Fair!
The Club Fair this past Monday, September 22nd, in the Ballroom was a huge success! It was incredible to see so much energy and enthusiasm from the first-year students — the room was buzzing with excitement. We loved seeing so many of you stop by, ask questions, and sign up to get involved. Your curiosity and passion are exactly what make this community thrive.
A big thank-you to everyone who helped organize the event and to all the clubs that showed up to represent. We’re looking forward to seeing how all of this new energy shapes the year ahead!
