Join us down in Moab for a night among the stars! We have a group site at the Horse Thief Camping Ground for everyone to crash at. Horsethief sits at 9,700 feet and is tucked away from Moab, so it promises to hold some amazing views of the Milky Way and other celestial bodies. The campsite is limited to 20 people/6 cars, so carpooling is definitely encouraged. If you would like to have a private site, Horsethief is first come-first serve for individual sites, as well as there is plenty of BLM land around Moab for some dispersed camping. Family and furry friends are welcome!

If you would like to join, but don't have any camping gear, we have a few extra that we can share. Otherwise, BYU outfitters does rent camping gear for a good price. Be sure to bring water, snacks, and any food you might want for the trip down there. WMIG will be having a group dinner for everyone that night. For those registered, a packing list will be sent out with everything you might need and everything that is being brought. Be sure to bring your telescopes, cameras, red lights, and whatever else to see the stars!

During the day, feel free to explore Arches National Park or Canyonlands National Park. Horsethief is also 18 minutes from Dead Horse Point! Moab is also a fun national park town to explore with all kinds of restaurants, cafes, and shopping.

Remember if you would like to enter Arches, they are now doing Timed Entry Tickets for certain times of the year, so keep that in mind!

If you would like to come but there are not spots left, you are more than welcome to, but it will be up to you to find a camping spot. Be sure to message Alysia on Teams, so she knows to plan on more food.
Food Provided (Dinner will be provided. Remember to bring food and drinks for any other meals.)
