Our Mission

The mission of the Surgical Interest Group at Noorda COM is to educate and assist students who would like to explore a career in surgery. We have three main goals for our members. First, we want to assist students in exploring surgical specialties that they may be interested in. Second, we want to prepare students for the residency match to optimize their chances of being accepted into their top program. Third, we want to create confident leaders who are more than prepared for residency. We invite students to join us for sub-specialist guest speakers, surgical residency discussions, work-life balance workshops, elective/audition rotation discussions, suturing workshops, service projects, and overall, early exposure to surgery.
